Students as Global Citizens

Wanting our students to become global citizens is not intended to downplay who they are. Nor does it suggest they forget whence they hail or the impact they could and should have on their own local community. It does, however, suggests a desire for them to embrace the ideals and uniqueness of everyone around them. Even Mark Twain understood the importance of this when he said, “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness…” #globalcitizens #education #wisdomofmarktwain
